As a part of our ongoing education work within Future Living we are delighted to offer a new Domestic Abuse Recovery course commencing on Tuesday 22nd February 2022.
Where & when:
The course will take place at Future Living premises in Vale House, 43 Cowbridge, Hertford SG14 1PN.
Covering twelve modules over 12 weeks surrounding recovery from domestic abuse, the course will run every Monday from 9.30am to 11.30am from 22 February 2022.
About the course:
The Monica Programme is a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) based empowerment module for ladies who have experienced domestic abuse either as a child and/or an adult.
As a solution focused course, students are equipped in understanding the terminology of domestic abuse, identifying types of domestic abuse, and also supports those who have had traumatic experiences. Please note that additional time is required of students for coursework, reading, and homework.
The course also discusses the impact on children living in an abusive household and the damage to their development over time, as well as the potential impact it may have in their adult lives, particularly on mental wellbeing.
The course is accredited by the University of Hertfordshire and is valued at 15 credits at Level 4 as part of social care.

Cost:
The cost of the 12 week course is £650 per person, including examination fees.
