As a charity, Future Living delivers a range of programmes to support victims of domestic abuse. One of the programmes we offer is The Monica Programme.
This is a 12 week programme which consists of 2 hour weekly sessions. As a result, participants are taught about things like healthy relationships and the cycle of abuse. In all, The Monica Programme encourages the women who attend a safe space where they can explore their history of domestic abuse and learn some key skills to manage their lives in the future.
Following this, participants are then able to share their concerns, in a group of likeminded women if they feel comfortable to do so. The Accredited Monica Programme is a training programme aimed at professionals. Accredited by The University of Hertfordshire, the course is worth 15 credits at level 4. The 12 week programme will consist of weekly 3 hour sessions with a final exam.
If passed, you will become accredited in the skills necessary to work with survivors of domestic abuse. The Future Living lead facilitator of the programme recognises the need for more support for women. Above all, by partaking in this accreditation, you will be part of a movement that sees more women thrive following the devastation of domestic abuse.
You will have the opportunity to deliver rewarding work where you will literally see clients transform with your very own eyes. Our next accredited programme starts on Tuesday 10th January 2023 – Tuesday 28th March 2023.
The sessions will be held at Vale House at 09:30 – 12:30 each week. The cost of the 12 week programme is £650.
