Qualified children and young person’s therapist

 

Due to a higher demand for our children’s service, Future Living Herford is delighted to be recruiting a fully qualified Children’s Therapist to work 1 day per week , during term time only at Vale House, Hertford. The hours are 09:00 – 15:30 (can be flexible on start and end time) This is a fantastic opportunity to join an award winning charity.

We will work tirelessly to support those in need.

The main responsibilities are:

  • To provide therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4 – 16 years utilising a range of play, art and creative therapies
  • Work with a variety of needs, including children who have witnessed domestic abuse, children with SEN and mental health difficulties
  • Develop methods and resources that result in improved/effective wellbeing and behaviours for all ages.
  • Work using a variety of materials to aid in the child’s needs and development
  • Maintain accurate notes to be uploaded onto our database, ensuring any safeguarding concerns are addressed immediately
  • Support children and young people to discuss and work through highly complex, sensitive and personal information related to behaviours.
  • To prepare and participate in peer supervisions and case reviews with other therapists regularly across the organisation
  • Work in line with Future Living Hertford’s policies and procedures
