About The Monica Programme:

One of our most popular services is The Monica Programme. The programme is for female survivors of domestic abuse and runs for 12 weeks.

The transformation we see in  the women who attend is truly remarkable. With each new programme, there comes new stories. Stories of hope, determination, bravery and survival.

What is it like to attend?

Estelle, who graduated from the last Monica Programme in December last year shares her experience:

I was told about Future Living through a good friend. A friend of hers had already been greatly helped by the Monica programme.

When I called Future Living, I was broken, at my wits end. It was a relief to speak to someone about my domestic situation and I broke down in tears knowing that I could no longer cope.

From the moment I was accepted onto the program, it felt like an anchor, a safe place; I now had a direction and somewhere to go to help myself at last.

I was really apprehensive at the first meeting, I found it quite triggering. From that point on though, I started to feel stronger and stronger; the true, happy me was finally returning.

The tools we learn in the workshops are empowering and transformative. The amazing women I was in a group with were deeply supportive, and the icing on the cake to the whole life changing and incredible programme. I looked forward to the workshops every week, and to seeing the group of amazing women, I now call friends.

The terrible domestic situation I was in no longer has a place in my life. My children and I are now moving forward with our lives. I am independent, strong, free and truly happy.

Thank you Future Living and the Monica program for your support, advice and the big warm bubble of love, safety and acceptance that you provided. I can never thank you enough!!
